Student Goals and Objectives:

  • Define Integrated Pest Management
  • Understand the processes of Integrated Pest Management.
  • Learn what is meant by Economic Thresholds.
  • Understand the dangers of pesticides in the environment.
  • Know how certain pesticides may pollute groundwater and how they can persist in the environment.
Course credit will be awarded upon completion of course exam with a score of at least 70%. 
Students will have 3 attempts to pass the exam.
Students will receive 1 hour of continuing education credit (1 CEU) on the topic of Agricultural Integrated Pest Management.
Texas Department of Agricultural regulations limit credit of 1 CEU per topic per calendar year. 


Student Goals and Objectives:

  • Awareness of protective equipment available and when to use it.
  • Knowledge of susceptible body areas and entry points.
  • Learn types of body coverings and categories.
  • Awareness of additional beneficial equipment.
  • Ability to recognize pesticide poisoning, procedures for a variety of causes.
  • Knowledge of how to choose and use equipment wisely.
  • Learn general safety precautions in prep, usage, clean up, and storage.

Students will receive 1 hour of continuing education credit (1 CEU) on the topic of Agricultural Personal Protective Equipment & Safety.

  • Learn biology & classification of weeds
  • Learn growth stages and life cycles of weeds
  • Learn weed control methods and factors affecting weed control.


Course credit will be awarded upon completion of course exam with a score of at least 70%.  
Students will have 3 attempts to pass the exam.
Students will receive 1 hour of continuing education credit (1 CEU) on the topic of Agricultural Weed Management.

Students will have 3 attempts to pass the exam.
Students will receive 1 hour of continuing education credit (1 CEU) on the topic of Herbicides for Landscape Maintenance.
